Klobuchar, Franken, Walz Announce More Than $760,000 for Infrastructure Improvements at Albert Lea Municipal Airport
WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Amy Klobuchar, Senator Al Franken, and Representative Tim Walz today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded Albert Lea Municipal Airport a grant of $766,342 for infrastructure improvements.
“These critical investments in our infrastructure help create good jobs while enhancing public safety,” Klobuchar said. “This award will benefit all who travel through Albert Lea Municipal Airport.”
“Improving infrastructure and public safety boosts the local economy and creates good-paying jobs,” Franken said. “These funds will ensure Albert Lea Municipal Airport continues to provide safe and efficient air travel for years to come.”

This grant will allow the airport to fund the construction of a terminal building and parking lot.
