Volunteers for Clean-up
Registration to provide volunteer clean-up assistance in Olmsted and Fillmore Counties, and the city of Rushford are being coordinated through United Way of Olmsted County. Please call the United Way at (507) 287-2000 to register individuals or groups for clean-up efforts. To volunteer in Winona County call Winona Volunteer Center at 507-457-8882. To volunteer in Houston County call Volunteer Coordination at 507-725-2799.
Volunteers for the Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross
The Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross is looking for volunteers from the local community to serve in the areas of damage assessment (ideal volunteers will have knowledge of homes, construction, and appraising) and client casework (ideal volunteers will be comfortable interviewing, communicating under stressful circumstances, have computer skills, and be detail-oriented). Red Cross training will be provided. Volunteers must be willing to make a 7-10 day commitment and a background check is mandatory.
